Day 18: Kitchener
Spent a couple of nights with my Aunt and Uncle in a place called Kitchener, about an hour or so outside of Toronto. It was great to see them and my cousins, to sleep in a normal bed, have a couple of quiet days and do some washing! However they look after my little Cousin Evan every day, so we were kept entertained with him!
We tried out batting cages when we were there. After watching so much baseball in the last couple of weeks, and deciding it was a pointless sport for grown men to play seeing as we ditch rounders after primary school back home, we thought we should give it a go. Turns out it’s not as easy as we had figured! Still a rubbish sport though.
We ate like kings when we were there as well, particular highlights were a homemade lasanga and my uncle Neil BBQ’ing steak in the rain. It was also nice to have some veg and salad in our diet! We helped Neil extensively taste his latest batch of homemade wine, to very positive reviews!
A good couple of days, back on a greyhound for an 18 hour over-nighter to Chicago!
